The family is the smallest unit of society, where a human first interacts with others. Therefore, the role of the family is very important for human life. Confucius also realized this. For Confucius, the family is the foundation of society. In other words, the goodness or badness of a society or nation depends on the goodness or badness of the family. In this book, first, the concept of filial piety will be discussed, which is the core teaching of Confucianism about the family and its development in modern society, especially in Chinese society. Next, the relevance of Confucian teachings about the family with current conditions will be discussed.
